What this value means
30% standard rate on the taxable business income of bodies (companies) under Schedule 'C' of Proclamation No. 979/2016 (effective 8 July 2016); longstanding and unchanged from the repealed Proclamation 286/2002. The Income Tax (Amendment) Proclamation No. 1395/2025 (effective 7 July 2025) reworked employment bands and added a 2.5% minimum (alternative) tax on turnover plus a 15% tax on undistributed corporate profits, but explicitly LEFT the 30% corporate rate unchanged. Ethiopian fiscal-year basis (8 July–7 July).
