NOTE ON A CHANGE: Proclamation No. 1334/2024 does NOT list 'Downfall of the Derg' (Ginbot 20 / 28 May) — historically a public holiday, it is not a closure holiday under the current law, so it is deliberately excluded. The proclamation also designates two commemorative 'memorial' days that are NOT institutional closures and are therefore excluded here: Ethiopian Martyrs' Day (20 Feb) and Ethiopian National Unity Day (9 Dec).
