May 2026 INHPC = 124.3 points (base 100 = 2018); +1.5% month-on-month, +2.6% over 3 months, +4.5% year-on-year. We serve the year-on-year (glissement annuel) rate. NOTE THE SECOND, DIFFERENT INFLATION MEASURE in the same bulletin: the CEMAC convergence criterion uses a 12-month MOVING-AVERAGE rate, which for May 2026 is only 1.3% nationally (Brazzaville 0.9%, Pointe-Noire 1.4%, Dolisie 1.8%, Owando 2.8%, Ouesso 2.2%), against a 3% CEMAC ceiling - do not confuse the two. Main y/y drivers: food and non-alcoholic beverages (2.2 pts, 47.9% of annual inflation), communications (0.47 pt), transport (0.43 pt), housing/utilities (0.35 pt); alcohol/tobacco and recreation contributed slightly negatively. May 2026 is the LATEST period published as of 2026-07-20 - the June bulletin had not appeared on the INS site; note the publication lag is irregular (the May bulletin is dated 10 June internally but was posted to the site on 11 July 2026).
