What this value means

Reference month June 2026, released 10 July 2026. Rwanda's headline is the URBAN CPI (base February 2014 = 100) — 13.6% YoY, up from 12.9% in May 2026. Big category moves per the NISR release: health +71.2% YoY, energy +44.8%, transport rising; the web release does not state an overall MoM figure. This inflation surge (far above the 2-8% band) is what drove BNR's 100bp hike to 8.25% in May 2026. Next release: ~10 August 2026.
