Year-on-year consumer price inflation for the DRC, from the Institut National de la Statistique (INS) price index republished WEEKLY by the Banque Centrale du Congo in its statistics portal (Secteur réel > Hebdomadaire > Taux d'inflation/INS). The DRC's headline price statistic is a weekly series with Saturday reference dates, not a monthly release.

What this value means
WHICH NUMBER IS SERVED: the 'glissement annuel' (year-on-year) column, 3.025% at the reference week ending Saturday 18 July 2026 — the closest analogue to the YoY headline other countries in this dataset publish monthly. The same row also gives the weekly change (0.180%), the month-to-date cumulative (0.562%, which resets at each month start) and the year-to-date cumulative (5.419%, which is the figure Congolese officials usually quote as 'l'inflation'). CADENCE: the table is updated weekly with Saturday reference dates, so this series moves every 7 days, not monthly — an update_cycle_days of 7 is deliberate. CROSS-CHECK: the CPM communiqué n° 03/2026 (17 July 2026) states Q2-2026 YoY inflation of 2.9% and cumulative inflation of 4.8% at end-June against 2.3% at end-March; the BCC table's row for Saturday 27 June 2026 reads glissement annuel 2.869% and cumulé de l'année 4.830%, so the two official sources reconcile exactly. TRAP — TWO INFLATION TABLES, ONE OF THEM DEAD: the BCC also publishes 'Taux d'inflation/BCC' at https://www.bcc.cd/statistiques/secteur-reel/hebdomadaire/taux-inflation-bcc, whose last observation is 14/01/2024 showing a glissement annuel of 33.810%. That table has not been updated in over two years. Any watcher must point at the /taux-inflation-ins path, not /taux-inflation-bcc. The BCC front page carries the INS figures as a live widget (and, unlike the taux directeur widget, this one WAS current at confirmation, showing 0.180% / 5.419% / 3.025% at 18/07/2026). TARGET: the BCC's medium-term inflation objective is 7.0% (CPM communiqué of 7 October 2025), so at 3.0% YoY the DRC is running well below target after a violent disinflation from 23.8%-equivalent territory in 2023 (YoY was 10.1% at end-March 2025, 7.8% at end-September 2025, 2.2% at end-March 2026). ACCESS: the INS's own site (ins.cd) does not publish a retrievable current CPI release; the BCC statistics portal is the practical official source and names INS as the producer.
