What this value means

Multi-day Eid spans are listed exactly as officially decreed (they include weekend days falling within them). PENDING as of 2026-07-15: the Mawlid al-Nabi observance decree (calendar shows Wed 26 Aug; could shift the day off to Thu 27 Aug under the Thursday policy) and a possible Thursday 8 Oct shift for Armed Forces Day. The Labour Ministry has issued matching private-sector paid-holiday decisions alongside every 2026 PM decree so far. Coptic Easter itself is not a public holiday (Sham El-Nessim, the Monday after, is). Bank holidays can differ slightly — the CBE closed banks one extra day for Eid al-Fitr.
