Egypt official exchange rates
Official exchange rates published by the Central Bank of Egypt: the buying and selling quotes for the stated date, in Egyptian pounds per unit of foreign currency. CBE labels these its official rates; since the March 2024 move to a flexible exchange rate they track the interbank market rather than an administered peg.

What this value means
Buy and sell are reproduced exactly as CBE publishes them. We do NOT compute a midpoint: CBE's own terms require any transformation of its data (their example is calculating average rates) to be stated explicitly, and a derived mid presented alongside official quotes would read as CBE's number when it is ours. CBE separately publishes an interbank weighted-average rate on its foreign-exchange market page — a different series, not merged here. Egypt's banking week is Sunday to Thursday, so no new rate is published on Friday or Saturday, and the dated value shown is the most recent publication. Reproduced with the Central Bank of Egypt cited as the source, per CBE's disclaimer. Currencies whose quotes are per 100 units (Japanese yen) are deliberately omitted rather than silently rescaled.
